Originally, M47s were built for the Korean War in the early 1950s. While no longer used by the U.S. Military, the M47 is still in service today in several countries including; Greece, Italy, Spain, Pakistan, and Portugal.
Although we no longer have the tank, the Motts Military Museum is grateful for having the opportunity to preserve and display Gov, Schwarzeneggers M47 Tank for our visitors.

As a member of the Austrian Army in the 1960s, Schwarzenegger was a tank driver and trained in this M47. Years later, he acquired the tank from the Austrian military.
